Giannades village lies on the central west coast of Corfu island and the best beaches are just nearby. It is possible to walk to some beaches but we recommend that you rent a car.

Several hotels are located around Ermones beach. It consists of sand and pebbles. It is well frequented by the locals of Giannades, very nice to spend your morning with snorkeling, diving (Achilleon Diving Center) or taking a ride with the pedal boat.
In the mythical sea adventure of Homer’s Odyssey, Kerkyra is the island of the Phaeacians, where Odysseus (Ulysses) meets Nausica the daughter of King Alkinoos. The bay of Ermones is considered to be the place where Odysseus disembarked.

That’s the one. It is not only the beach of Giannades village, but also a “Secret Gem” of the island. It is accessible only by boat or climbing/walk. It is a small bay with a mix of rough sand and small pebbles with breathtaking clean water, beautiful underwater sea life and a very peaceful atmosphere.

This very special beach. It is very quiet, small, cute and relaxing with the smell of pine trees and situated just one kilometer from Pelekas Beach. It’s location will invite you to snorkel and the local fish tavern will spoil you with their great hospitality, fresh fish and local specialties. Don’t go away without drinking a Freddo cappuccino and the best exotic Cuban Mojito in all times.

Paleokastritsa is also called “The Capri of Corfu”. Half-a dozen little beaches dot the bay where tavernas, cafes, bars are spread around. A little port in the center of the village invites you to go for a boat ride to explore the caves, the yellow submarine to see the underwater world, the museum the sea creatures or simple take a water taxi to spend some relaxing hours at the nearby laying Paradise beach, Rovinia beach … and all the other small bays only reachable by boat. Overlooking the village you can find and visit the famous monastery built in the 18th century, a must see when you come to Corfu. There is also a diving center (Achilleon Diving Center) in Paleokastritsa and water sports.
The beach of Agios Gordis is a long sandy beach. When the waves are right it is perfect for body surfing. You can take a long walk, discover the beaches behind the beach and explore the stranded Egyptian boat. The village of Agios Gordis invites to shop, drink, eat and meet people from all over the world. This village has the most international crowd drinking, dancing and hanging out together. A must to go to meet people!
