Dear artists, art and nature lovers, dreamers and happy holidaymakers, welcome to our summer-house.middle-front-look

Spiti Meraki is a little dream house, a quirky fairy tale with great stories and a place where the taste of Greek life is still pure and embraces you with all its philosophy.

The stones, that have been laid 250 years ago from Maltese builders during the Venetian rule, are the houses biggest pride. They have seen so many faces and things that they all got their own character, (framed in white) and together with the broken mosaic tiles on the floor give a colorful and magical impact on everyone who steps into the house.

Beginning the morning with breakfast on the stone bench under the wine pergola, listening to the bird’s symphony, one can very fast realize that far away is the stress of “the world turning around” and that here there is nothing better than the smell of “SUMMER IN GREECE”, the smell of freedom.

Spiti Meraki lies in the center and old part of the village Giannades. There are no tourists in the village and it remained almost untouched with its old houses and Greek traditions. This is a very rare opportunity for you to insert yourself into an adventure that will be in your memories for a very long time.

There will be plenty of time to relax, explore, meet new friends and the best and most important thing is to see and live together with “real people” and feel the Greek lifestyle. You will be a guest and for some time, a member of the village and community.

ON-TOP-OF-THE-FIRE-PLACESpiti Meraki is an artistic house. During renovation many things stayed as they have been for centuries and many have been added or created freely, without any “must” and “have to”. It is a simple house that has everything and it encourages to dream and create.

Most of the day you will spend outside the house, as Corfu is a magic place to discover and the most beautiful beaches are not far. But when you will come “home” in the afternoon or evening, you will find yourself sitting on the “open air terrace”, enjoying the view, have a little dinner and watch the stars, talk and drink a glass of wine and feel like a Greek God. (ohhhh, I am jealous)

And if you want, here is where your experiental travel adventure begins……

Gradually the magic of the island settled over us as gently and clingingly as pollen.
Each day had a tranquility, a timelessness about it, so that you wished it would never end.
But then the dark skin of night would peel off and there would be a fresh day waiting for us,
glossy and colourful as a childs’ transfer and with the same tinge of unreality.”
Gerald Durrell about Corfu in “My family and other animals”
